What the Book is About

Cleo and Cornelius is a story about two cats that live in Ancient Egypt. Because cats are revered, they live a cushy life. When they decide to go on an adventure, Cleo gets left behind! Who decides that adventuring is fun and who decides it’s best to stay home?

First Impressions

The artwork is phenomenal!! I was drawn in by the rich color palette almost immediately.

What I Liked

Cleo and Cornelius is such a fun book. The kitties make their way to Rome and discover chariot races and various other fun activities to do. They are dismayed to find that dogs are revered there. They are both so happy to be home, but one of them decides to go back out on an adventure. I’ll leave that part a surprise.

What I Didn’t Like

Nothing! It is a fun, unique kids book!
