Penguin Days is such a cute book following a little girl with Autism who is expected to be a flower girl at her Aunt’s wedding. There are a myriad of disasters that follow her around, like throwing up on her flower girl dress, to falling in the calf pen in the barn. Lauren is very cute and the book was a fun, easy read. I really enjoyed reading about Lauren and her struggles with helping to calm her “lizard brain” down. She’s very relatable. With a child of my own that has Autism, I recognized some of the same struggles he’s faced in Lauren. This book was a breath of fresh air and would be great for anyone to read to understand how someone with Autism thinks differently.

Thank you to Sara Leach and Pajama Press for making this book available to me.
